This is a full-time, on-site Paralegal role based in Henderson, NV. The Paralegal will support attorneys in family law matters by drafting and preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence. Daily responsibilities include conducting legal and factual research, organizing and reviewing case files, and managing deadlines and court calendars. The role involves communicating with clients, courts, and opposing counsel, as well as assisting with case preparation for hearings, mediations, and trials. The Paralegal will also maintain accurate records, update case management systems, and help ensure compliance with court rules and firm procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in law and family law concepts, with the ability to understand and apply relevant statutes, rules, and procedures.
- Proficiency in legal document preparation, including drafting pleadings, motions, disclosures, discovery requests, and related court filings.
- Experience in research and document review, including legal research, fact investigation, and organizing case materials for attorney review.
- Effective communication skills, including clear written communication, professional verbal communication with clients and court staff, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with common legal software, including MyCase, court efiling system and Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools.
- Paralegal certificate is preferred but not required, depending on experience.
- At least 2 years of prior experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in family law or litigation is required.
