Schneider Tanaka Radovich Andrew & Tanaka, LLLC ("STRAT") is a law firm that practices primarily in the areas of real estate, business, and public utility law. We are seeking an experienced and motivated real estate and business paralegal to join our team. DUTIES
In general, the real estate and business paralegal would work on real estate and business matters for STRAT's clients. The paralegal would work with partners and associate attorneys who are experienced in real estate and business matters. The paralegal's duties may include:
- Preparing deeds, grants of easement, leases, notes, mortgages and other real estate and financing documents.
- Organizing, reviewing and analyzing title documents and due diligence materials.
- Working on conveyancing, acquisitions, sales, and other real estate transactions.
- Working on business transactions, entity formation and organizational documents.
- Working on condominium and subdivision documents and registrations.
- Preparing and organizing legal documentation for transaction closings.
- Preparing and coordinating agency filings, including filings with Bureau of Conveyances, Land Court and DCCA.
- Communicating and working with clients, at the direction and under the guidance of the supervising attorney.
Requirements
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Minium of three years of transactional real estate and/or business experience.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
- Excellent ability to be a team player.
- Excellent ability to provide a high level of client service and maintain confidentiality.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power Point.
