Interested in bringing your organizational skills and enthusiasm to the legal team of a world-class musical instrument manufacturer with a great company culture? We’re on the hunt for a Corporate Paralegal / Executive Assistant to provide paralegal and administrative support to our General Counsel. You’ll be working for a design-driven, industry-leading innovator, and your contributions will assist all aspects of the General Counsel’s work, such as supporting patent and trademark portfolio management and related due diligence; supporting the preparation of a variety of contracts and corporate minutes; preparing statistical reports; handling information requests; and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings.

Corporate Paralegal / Executive Assistant Success Factors:
Within the first 30 days:
-Fully understand the e-sign software functionality and assist the General Counsel in implementing e-signature initiatives, including processes and procedures for sending e-contracts to contract parties, maintaining e-contract records, and assisting with training.
- Review and organize law firm invoices and compare to budget for General Counsel review.
-Handle all administrative processes for submitting expense reports and manage travel plans, calendars and contacts for General Counsel.
-Monitor and schedule meetings with executives to implement initiatives of the Legal Department and obtain approval or updates of policies such as Anti-Corruption policy.

Within the first 6 months:
-Implement policies and guidelines such as the Anti-Corruption policy, Trademark Usage Guidelines, and Minimum Advertised Price policy, and organize and monitor related compliance and training records.
-Organize trademark and patent information into multiple formats that can be used by General Counsel and executives to make business decisions and aid in implementing policies.

Within the first year:
-Establish procedures for organizing filing systems for the Legal Department’s electronic and paper files in order to accurately track and monitor the status of various matters.
-Become familiar with the various company departments and personnel worldwide in order to develop relationships important to carrying out Legal Department functions such as training, gathering of specimens of use for trademark filings, and identifying new trademarks, slogans and designs for General Counsel and executives to consider for registration protection.

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
Education : Bachelor's Degree or paralegal certificate with equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience : Seven to ten years related experience. Law Firm and In-house experience a plus. Experience creating and maintaining documents in paper and electronic filing system is a plus.
Computer Skills: Strong computer skills required. Advanced in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience or willingness/ability to learn electronic signature software such as Docusign, comparison software such as Workshare, and e-billing and e-budgeting software such as Serengeti Law.
